HANNAH KNAFO, PHD
Hannah Knafo, PhD is a Clinical Psychologist and the founder of Lifespan Therapists of Brooklyn. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Knafo is the Director of the Perinatal Psychiatry Center at Zucker Hillside Hospital/Northwell Health. Dr. Knafo’s work with clients is informed by attachment theory and relational psychoanalysis. Dr. Knafo has expertise in the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, complex trauma, and parent-child relationships. She also enjoys working with adults of all ages navigating life transitions and identity consolidation. Dr. Knafo primarily provides individual psychotherapy and couples therapy to adults in all stages of life at Lifespan Therapists of Brooklyn.
SOPHIA HOFFMAN, PHD
Sophia Hoffman, PhD is a New York State Licensed Psychologist who completed her doctoral training in School Psychology with a clinical focus at Fordham University. Dr. Hoffman is currently the Assistant Program Director and the Director of Clinical Training at the combined School-Clinical Child PsyD Program at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. Dr. Hoffman works with adults, children, adolescents, and families at Lifespan Therapists of Brooklyn. She is specifically informed by attachment and mentalization-based approaches to psychodynamic psychotherapy. She also works frequently with challenging behaviors in early childhood, specifically, consulting with parents about how those behaviors affect school experiences. Cultural humility, as well as gender identity and sexuality affirming approaches to therapy are at the center of her practice.
